From a young age, I have always had a competitive drive and enjoyed sports. But as soon as I started playing Softball I knew that it was the sport for me. I love the way that you have to strategize and think in softball. In my free time I often spend hours analyzing Baseball and Softball games on TV to try to pick up little tricks to become better. This love for watching baseball and softball led me to enjoy commanding the field and bringing up my team. This is the reason I fell in love with the catcher position. Although it may not be the most glamorous position, there is no other place I would rather play. As a catcher, I have learned how to lead my team when we are not only winning but also when we are losing. This sport has truly shaped me to be the person I am today. There is no other thing I would rather do during my college years than play Softball.
