Genevieve Osburg '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Genevieve Osburg, I am a Junior at Lebanon High School located in Oregon. I would like to major in Business. I  am a 3.58 GPA Student. I take academics as seriously as I take sports. I have had a passion for sports ever since I was little. I have been very driven and goal oriented ever since a young age. When I am on the field I  have a positive attitude and mindset. I am always there to support my team and to help pick each other up. Coachs can always see my hardwork and dedication on the field. I am a very coachable player, and always looking for tips and strategies from all coaches or peers. I have tried many different positions in all my years of play, but found my home to be a catcher. Catching tops all other positions I've played and tried. While being a catcher you get a completely different perspective than anyone else. I am in every pitch, always paying attention and adjusting to each and every play. As well as physically being in every play I am always mentally in every play. Mentally when I'm catching I'm always paying attention to the batter, and what they seem to struggle with as well as what they're good at doing. I use that knowledge to my advantage with pitch calling, always trying to challenge and beat each batter with the calls. Even when I am playing another position, I always mentally prepare for the next possible situation. Whether it being me thinking about where to go with the ball or simply just making mental notes about that batter. I would be a good addition to your team because I bring positive energy, I'm very hardworking, as well as dedicated, and very coachable. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
