I have been playing baseball and softball since I was five years old. It has always been my goal and my dream to play at the collegiate level. I have lettered for my high school team since my freshman year and have led my team with highest batting average, coaches choice award and golden glove award over the last three years. My sophomore year I also had the most homeruns and doubles on the team as a power hitter with .438 batting average. I play year round with my travel team Steele City Cyclones. We travel to many camps and showcases. My favorite position is 3rd base, however I have played all the infield positions except catcher. I pitched until my sophomore year when I decided to focus on 3rd base. My batting coach and I practice once a week as well as drill at home in my own personal batting cage with pitching machine. I meet with my personal trainer twice a week. I am a very coachable, hard working player with a great positive attitude on and off the field and I am willing to contribute by playing any position the team needs.
When I am not playing or practicing softball, I volunteer coach two 12u girls teams, fundraise for the IRSF charity, and study to maintain good grades. It is important to me to be a student first and an athlete second. I know the importance of time management, sacrifice, and perseverance. Being a good role model, always showing patience, kindness, honesty, and loyalty are also very important to me. I am very proud to have been raised to know the importance of having a good character and values, and to always show respect and compassion toward others. Because I am a goal oriented person with determination to always do my best to achieve my goals, it is my goal to find a college where I can continue my education and continue playing the sport I have loved all my life. I have worked hard and sacrificed for many years to get to this point. I am very excited to play at the next level and make my family proud. There is no second chance to live your dream.
