Kylee Paules '19 Recruiting Profile

    Ever since I was in elementary school, I have aspired to become teacher.  My third and fourth grade teachers had a significant impact on my future.  That vision has not changed.  My education is first and my athletic goals are second.  I am extremely excited to begin college and earn my teaching certificate.  In my senior year, I have been selected for an internship at Willow Creek Elementary School for the entire year.  It will be the highlight of my high school career.  

    I played soccer and softball since I was 7 years old.  I love softball.  I love being a part of a team.  I cannot succeed on my own.  It takes a strong team to be successful.  In my sophomore year, we finished the season 4-15.  I knew we were better than that.  As a Junior, myself and a few seniors had a team meeting to push everyone to succeed.  We finished this season 9-8 and qualified for county and district playoffs.   

    I take great pride in earning and maintaining excellent grades.  I also take great pride in earning success in softball.  Academics and athletics does not come easy for me.  I have to work extremely hard to maintain a 4.0 grade point average and I have to work extremely hard to achieve the degree of success I want in softball.  As a sophomore, I earned honorable mention on the All-Berks County team, as a centerfielder.  In my Junior year, I repeated that distinction.

    There are many athletic softball players that I compete against all year.  What gives me an advantage is that I am softball smart.  I get a thrill out of out-thinking an opponent.  Every play has multiple scenarios and I like to think about each one during a game.  I love to have fun, but during a game, I stay focused to help my team succeed.  My high school coach has told our team and the parents that if there was anyone he would go to war with, it would be me.  I am proud of that opinion.  I may or may not outrun you, but I will definitely out-think you.
