Personal Statement
After my junior high school added our "Life Applications" program, I realized how important college really was, and how much passion I had for furthering my education. I developed a drive for researching schools, and for discovering ones that I could see myself attending. That same year, my softball team and I lost our league championship tournament, and I developed a sense of unity and leadership. The next year, my last year playing junior high softball, my team took first place in our league championship tournament. The difference was that I stepped up and became a leader, and I also encouraged my whole team to become leaders. We soon became a family, and played a season that we will never forget.
I want to play college softball because I want to play this sport for as long as I can, at the highest level that I can. Growing up at multiple different softball and baseball fields has given myself time to develop an undeniable love for softball. I want to work with coaches that will push me to work harder on my good and bad days. I want coaches that will take the time to break things down when I can't figure out how to. I want a coach that will make me love softball more than I already do. And most importantly, I want a program where my teammates are my family, and my years there are some of the best years of my life.
