My name is Kara Rodriguez and I'm a 5'4”, hardworking softball player. I'm truly dedicated to this sport. I'm an athlete who knows the game of softball. My most important accomplishments were being nominated for Heart and Hustle and Most Improved Player. I played on the varsity softball team at my high school my sophomore year, and I played JV my freshman year and was a substitute runner for Varsity.
Knowing that I'm capable of playing softball in college makes me more passionate for this sport. What I can offer to a team is the promise to always work hard and never give up. I am the first to go to the field and the last to leave.
When it comes to choosing what school I would like to go to, my options are very big. I am primarily looking at east coast states (Florida, North Carolina, Georgia, etc.) but I am very open to going anywhere. I am open minded about colleges and hope to just find a college that best fits me. The size and location are not important to me. As long as I can receive a good education and play softball I will be happy. My top two choices for a major as of right now are either Physical Therapy or Nursing. However, my major may change over the course of the rest of my high school career.
My realistic athletic goals are to continue playing the sport I love at a high competition level. Another goal of mine is to make an impact on the team and to little girls. Knowing at the end of the day that I made a difference and tried my hardest would keep a smile on my face.
