Personal Statement

Hello! My name is Shaylee Greenland and I am a junior, graduating class of 2024, at Towanda jr/sr high school. I am actively involved at my school as a member of National Honor Society, FBLA , scholarship challenge, 2 varsity sports and Vice President of my class all while I hold a 3.83 GPA in my honors and dual enrollment college courses. I am a setter for my school’s volleyball team and a RHP/ first baseman for my school's softball team, with the goal of continuing my softball career playing college softball. What sets me apart from other recruits? I am a worker! You will have trouble finding anyone that will out work me in academics and sports. I put in the time and effort to reach my team’s goals and my personal goals. I am excited to begin the recruitment process and look forward to showing you how I can be a great addition to your team.

Yes. I am in all honors/advanced classes. I also have earned 6 college credits so far through dual enrollment. My honors classes consist of = English, Civics, Statistics & Chemistry for 2021-22 school year. 2022-23 I am taking Pre-Calculus, AP Chemistry, Honors English, Honors World History, Soc/Psychology andSports Psychology (these classes are giving me 16 college credits).

AwardsHonor Roll every marking period (I have never not been on it). I have scored advanced on all PSSA state tests. I placed first in the Regional FBLA competition and competed at States as a Freshman- 2021. I placed first in the Regional FBLA competition and made it to the second round at the State competition my sophomore year -2022. I scored advanced on Keystone state testing for Algebra. I am in the top ten of my class. National Honor Society inductee May 2022.
