Softball has been a passion of mine ever since my first tee ball game when I was six years old. I remember watching local provincial championships and dreaming that one day I could be as skilled as those players. Since then I have become one of the players I wished I could be, the next step is finding out how to take my dream to the next level. College softball would be a great opportunity to showcase my skills and take that next step.
I am a strong player offensively and defensively, I have a strong softball IQ and I will always give 110%. I always keep in mind that I am playing for the name on the front of my jersey not the back, I think that being a respectful, trustworthy teammate who will hold her team accountable is more important than performance any day. I am very coachable and willing to try anything to improve my game. My goal is to always leave it all on the field and work hard to accomplish my goals.
For me, softball season is all year. I attend as many skill/training camps as possible during the off-season. As well as camps I do strength training and conditioning to ensure that I keep in shape all year round. I have played on the Prince Albert Aces for many years along with PAMSA House league. I have also played one year of Prince Albert Toppers Volleyball along with school volleyball which has also improved my athleticism.
At school, I make sure to always put in a lot of effort to maintain good grades. I have been a French immersion student for the entirety of my school career which has also required a lot of hard work. Outside of school, I help with softball camps for the younger groups if necessary along with volunteering at the local hospital and care home.
I would like to continue this passion to the collegiate level so that I can continue my education and take the sport that I love as far as I can. I am willing to further research all available options and would like to choose a college where I can receive a good education and play softball at the most competitive level possible. I hope to be the player that young girls watch and aspire to become.
