Personal Statement
I have been playing softball since I was 6 years old. I remember going and watching my brother play baseball; from there I grew to love the sport and remember watching him and looking forward to the age that I could steal my first base.
I played several different positions throughout the years and over the last 10 years have found my passion behind the plate. I have been catching for 6 years and continue to work to perfect my primary position and also enjoy other positions when not catching. I am a very coachable athlete and have learned so much from my coaches since the time I started playing softball.
At a young age, I was diagnosed with ADHD; I feel this has only enhanced my position as a catcher because it requires me to be extremely focused on the plays and the entire field. I am a leader for my teammates and I strive to be better each and every day.
My longterm goal is to be a part of a college program where I can continue my education and play the highest level of competition. I am open to all options and know I will be an asset to any team/coach and to my teammates.
