My name is Jasmine Gray and I am a utility player with a big bat graduating in the class of 2021. My biggest asset is that I am a student athlete and also a team player that is always willing to learn new techniques to better my softball career. I’m currently top 12% of my class with a 4.90 GPA and a 1180 SAT score. I’d like to major in chemistry, specifically biochemistry and molecular biology. Making it to the state playoffs for the first time in school history at Summer Creek High School has been the highlight of my high school career so far. Although I got injured right before playoffs began, I feel that is made me grow as a teammate and a leader. The experience of being injured helped me re-build my mental strength and capability.
My sophomore season, I was fortunate enough to be given an Academic All-District award, even though I missed the last 8 games of the season. I can also say that I learned a lesson on sacrifice, commitment, and leadership. I'm looking for a school that will be a good fit academically and athletically for me. I have no doubt that I am capable of competing at the next level, but also my leadership skills, work-ethic, and passion for the game of softball will have an influence on your program. As a natural born leader, and an athlete with impeccable work ethic, I know that I have what it takes to be great addition to your team.
