As a student athlete I have many goals in life, and hope to achieve every single one of them as my life goes on. Taking into consideration that I am a sixteen year old high school student I look at myself as a lot more, and I could honestly say many adults and my peers would agree.
It has always been a goal of mine to advance to a collegiate level to play softball, and I have never let a thing stop me from achieving my goal. I strive for excellence on and off the field, working out on my own time and doing more than I am asked. Since a young age I have had the mentality that the only person that can stop you from succeeding is yourself. If I did not make it to the next level I would not tell myself I was not good enough, I would tell myself I did not put in enough effort to be as good as I should have. I began my softball career at the age of three and continued playing throughout the years, at the age of seven I started to realize that softball was not only a game but my life. I became more and more interested and fascinated with the sport as my life went on.
While playing softball I have learned so much about myself. I believe not only have I influenced myself to do better, but I believe I influenced others as well. No matter how difficult things got for me, or how much pain I was in I always gave my all. The first to practice, and the last to leave, the loudest girl on the field telling my teammates every little detail they need to know while playing the game. Although softball is a big part of my life Academics has a higher rank. As much as I push myself on the field I push myself in the classroom. I have strived myself for excellence since a young age and will continue to do that throughout the years of my life.
