Elyssa Molina '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Elyssa Gabrielle Molina, I am 16 years old and will be an upcoming Junior at La Porte High School in La Porte, Texas.I became interested with softball at the age of 6, the intensity and structure of the game caught my eye. Ever since then, it's became my life. I've learned that I can over come obstacles that are thrown at me, that I can succeed and push through any situation that comes my way, whether it be on the field or off the field. Throughout my life I've been influenced by those who I see work hard and have to actually work to reach their goals; whether it be a physical goal, emotional/personal goal, or an academic goal. I love the effort i see people give, and the effort of those around me has reflected on me to always want to push and strive to outwork myself and reach my goals and future goals. 

• My physical goal is to play softball in college, it's always been a dream of mine to continue to play the sport I love. To reach this, I push myself, I give 110% at practice, I always want to do more and to outwork my competitor, I never give up on myself,even when I'm having an off day. I do all this cause I know it's what i have to do to reach my goal.
• My personal goal is to create a better relationship with God and become stronger in my Greek Orthodox religion. I'm currently reading lectures on my religion, looking up answers to all the questions I have, and trying to gain a better overall understanding. I'm trying to become a better person by doing more good deeds in my life. I plan on attending mass more often as soon as I'm able to provide my own transportation.
• My first academic goal is to graduate within the top 5% of my class, my second is to gain all the requirements needed in college to earn a title as a Nurse Practitioner. To reach these goals, I take my studies very serious and I try my hardest in school and do all I can to make sure I'm learning the material I need to,not just pass,but, excel in my academics. I'm currently ranked number 28 if 541, and i have a GPA of 4.9657.

I know I will succeed in achieving or over achieving my goals. No matter how hard or how long it may take me, i will always strive to reach my goal.
