Currently, the positions I play are pitcher, first base, second base, and outfield. However, when I began playing this game at the age of 3, it was to be with my friends and have fun. What I never realized, was how much this game was going to teach me on and off the field. This game has shown me the ups and downs of life; for example, when my teammate had to move because her dad was transferred to another town or I watched a teammate let a coach ruin her love for the game right before my eyes. I am inspired to play this game for all the little girls who look up to me., including the ones who see you pitch and the little sister who follows me around, only to imitate my pitching motion. I also love to play this game because of the thrill of the game, and the progress I have made through my hard work under the lights at night games. This game has taught me to never settle and never give up. My goal is to play through college and walk away in the end knowing I left it all on the field.
