Madi Burleson '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Madi Burleson, Class of 2026, MIF/Utility player. I have a passion for the game and the softball field is my happy place. I want to play college softball while earning my degree. I am a versatile player who enjoys playing with a team and will do whatever it takes for my team. I love the competition and showcasing my skills on the field. I am a dedicated, coachable, and versatile player who doesn't give up. While I have successfully played every position, except catcher, my primary position has been infield over the years. I am a strong middle infielder with a good range. My sophomore year, I received varsity All-District Honors playing 2B. This year I am the starter for 3B on HS varsity. I am flexible and will play where I'm needed. 

Academics are also important. I strive to be the best on and off the field. I am a member of our school's Beta Club (National Honor Society), currently enrolled in honor classes, and a dual-credit college class. I am also active in FFA and show market goats, lambs and steers. I earned my FFA Lonestar Degree and was presented with it at the State Convention in July 2025. When not playing softball or working with my show animals, I enjoy riding horses and hanging out with friends and family.
