Brook Locke '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Brook Locke and I am a future Class of 2025 graduate attending Cross Roads High School in Malakoff, Tx.  I was the starting shortstop/lead off hitter freshman year, then starting center fielder/lead off hitter of our varsity softball team my sophomore year.  I continue to train so I can improve my role as a left handed slapper.  I earned Newcomer of the Year for the 21-22 school year as a freshman, then MVP and District Defensive Player of the Year for the 22/23 season my sophomore year. As a member of the varsity basketball team, I was awarded First Team All-District in 2021 and 2022 and then earned Second Team All-District in volleyball for 2022. I am also a member of our cross-country team, which just advanced to state for the second year in a row. For the 2022 season I was selected for the 2A All State Cross Country Team.  I love being part of our athletic program at school,  but I especially enjoy playing softball for the Lady Patriots 18u Gold Organization where I am a starting centerfielder/utility and lead off batter. My collegiate goals are to earn an athletic scholarship in softball so I can pursue a degree to become a Veterinary Technician. I consider myself a hard worker, quick learner, and a supportive team player always striving to keep a positive mindset on and off the field.
