Emily Otto '17 Recruiting Profile

I am about to enter my junior year and I have been the starting Varsity pitcher since my freshman year. My freshman year I was named to the Academic All District Softball Team and the All District Team as pitcher. I was also voted "New Comer of the Year and All Area Pitcher" by the Fort Bend Herald news paper.  My sophomore year i was selected All District MVP by the District Coaches. The Fort Bend Herald named me All Area Pitcher if the Year for the second time. I currently hold my High School record for most strikeouts in game, both regulation and extra innings. I also hold the record for strikeouts in a season my freshman season, and am on pace to break that record this season.  I was also named by VYPE magazine as one of the top 50 Greater Houston Area Softball Players and finished fifth in the polls, and the Houston Chronicle named me to second team All Greater Houston Area Softball Team.  I have a strong desire to compete and be the best that I can be. Softball is my passion, ... I love, study and honor the Game, even after nine years of Select/Travel ball. I am a strong leader and have been a Peer Mediator, four year member of Student Counsel, and I am a member of the Leo's Club.  I was raised and confirmed at "United Church of Christ" and I have a strong Christian Faith.
