Emily Kaman '26 Recruiting Profile

Athletic. Fast. High Energy. Grinder. Coachable. Great Teammate. Faithful. These are just a few words that describe me. My name is Emily Kaman and I will be a 2026 graduate. I LOVE playing softball, and I am looking for an opportunity to get a great college education while continuing to play the game I love. I play with the Corona Angels 18U Coleman team under Lorie Coleman and Marty Tyson. I have trained under Nikki Ragin, former All-American & former Assistant Coach at the University of Oregon. I am a lefty slapper/hitter and a true utility player, as I play both middle infield and outfield. My current GPA is a weighted 4.0 and I was a multi-sport student-athlete the first 2 years of high school, playing both basketball and softball. 

I was named "Female Athlete of the Year" 4 consecutive years by my schools. I earned Academic All-District for both basketball and softball, I was selected to the 2025 SA Express News All-Area Team, I was named "Co-Defensive Player of the Year" (at SS), voted Unanimous 1st Team All-District - 2nd Base (2 yrs), selected as the "MVP" for my team (2 yrs), and named "Defensive MVP" (1 yr). I was named 1st Team Southwest Region, as well as National Extra Elite 100 #34 Outfielder by Extra Inning Softball. I have been selected as one of the Top 60 Athletes for the Class of 2026 and I competed in the Alliance Stars of Tomorrow Games (2 yrs).  It was a great experience playing against some of the best athletes from across the country. The 1st year, I finished ranked 14th out of the 60 girls, and the 2nd year I finished tied for 16th. While in Colorado, I played well enough to be selected to play in the TCS All-American All-Star Games (2 yrs). 

In select, my team competed in the TFL 18U State Championships in Plano, both the IDT in Colorado & the Colorado Sparkler, & we just finished with the Alliance Softball National Championships in Indiana. I lead my team in multiple offensive stats, including: 81 PA, BA ~ 0.520; OB% ~ 0.556; OPS ~ 1.076; 39 H; 29 R; 13/17 SB.

My goal is to be a difference-maker in ways that will lead my teammates. My goal is to win a State Championship & hopefully, a couple of National Championships in college. I would love to play in the Olympics and win a Gold Medal representing the USA. If I have an opportunity to play professionally, I'm all in!! Otherwise, I plan to study Kinesiology so I can become an athletic trainer for a professional sports team or possibly a physical therapist. I am constantly working on my development to be both stronger and faster on the field, to be ranked among the top in the classroom, and to grow stronger in my faith. If given the chance, I won't disappoint you or let you down. Thank you!
