A dream to play a college sport was not something my parents ever have the luxury of, so my mom joined the Army in order to give me that chance to dream as big as I could. Being raised by veteran parents has instilled values that most could only hope for. Being raised by a single mother has given me the chance to see what it is like to need to drive further, harder and faster than the person next to you. If you can’t, then you train harder or study more until you can. My goal is to go to college for softball while earning an education that will honor my parents sacrifices. I hope to earn a degree in a field that will give back, such as education.
