Kaycee Valencia '21 Recruiting Profile

I am a contact hitter with power. I pride myself in strong defensive blocking skills and quick pop time. I am very focused and have a strong work ethic (I work individually with a hitting and catching coach). I spend extra time on fundamentals of blocking, picks, throwing and tee time. I am a team leader and my teammates know they can count on me. On the field, I communicate well with my pitchers and fielders from behind the plate. I work hard and display a great attitude. I welcome constructive feedback to adjust/improve my game. I thrive in a competitive environment were I can continue to grow my love of this great sport. I am very competitive, love challenges and want to be pushed to contribute in anyway that will help my team be successful.
 The sport of softball is continually teaching me “life skills”. Its way more than a game. The sport creates an environment that paves paths for my future. I am grateful for the experiences and memories that make me who I am today and who I will be in the future.
