Claire Anderton '27 Recruiting Profile

My name is Claire Anderton, I’m from Roosevelt,  Utah. My primary position is catcher and secondary is 3rd. Since a young age I’ve always been interested in sports. Due to life changes and growing up softball was the sport that stuck. Softball is so much more to me than just a sport it’s my stress reliever, my love, my life, and many other things. Softball over the many years I’ve played has given me so much more than I could ask for. My goal with softball is to one have fun and play in college. The reason I want to play in college is way more than just to play the game I love it’s to play the game I love while perusing a career because of the possible academic achievements that I have created for myself. As a person on the softball field I am more than just a teammate or another player I am a leader, I’m accountable, effective, confident, and many traits that I obtain to make myself an all around athlete. And not just on the softball field but off it I take a great amount of pride in my academics. I am a 4.0 student who truly cares about school and the effort that I put towards it. Schooling is really important for me and in the future hope to get a degree while playing. Most people choose to tell them why they’re so much better than the other candidate truthfully I am here to say that I might not be better then one person but what I do bring to the table is commitment, determination, hard work, good attitude, coachable, integrity, persistence, and truthfully a handful of other skills.
