Personal Statement
I have been playing softball from the time I was five years old up until now and it has always been my passion. Whether it's a good day or a bad one, the game is always there for me to throw myself into. I don't think most people care for a sport as deeply as I care for softball, especially when it comes to pitching. My Senior year is approaching quickly and I couldn't possibly imagine next year being my last time stepping on the field. My work ethic is what has carried me the extra mile in my life this far. Whether it's in my academics or my athletics, I tend to set myself apart from my peers by always going the extra mile and being a step above the rest. I not only spend a majority of my time on the field, but I also maintain a high GPA, participate in student government, and also participate in other sports outside of softball. My goals for college are to first of all find a school that has a great education program for me, I hope to get a degree in Elementary Education and I know a great program can help me achieve that. I'd also like to find a school that will give me the opportunity to play four more years of softball with a great coaching staff and a great group of girls. I'm confident that my friendly and outgoing personality will help my fit with any group of people I am placed with. I know that playing college softball is a once in a life time opportunity, and to be able to make my friends and family proud of me by accomplishing this would be great, but making myself proud for achieving such a big goal of mine would be even greater.
