I'm ambitious. Every coach has heard that, but come see me play and I'll show you.
I started playing softball when I was 14 because I was looking for any reason to skip the afternoon bus ride. I was far from talented. However, an entire season of defeat didn't keep me from pursuing the game in high school, where I lettered my freshman year. The game had suddenly become my life. After facing a knee surgery and working tirelessly to regain what I'd lost, I was a starting varsity outfielder by my sophomore year. I came back stronger than I was before my injury. Today, I'm still finding new ways to improve my game as a third baseman for my club softball team. Softball is no longer something to pass time; this game has become what live and breathe every day.
My ambition isn't just on the softball field, though that may be my element. I'm a straight A student and enrolled full-time at a local college in order to earn both my AA and Associates in Math Education degree by regular high school graduation. I believe that a strong work ethic starts in the classroom, and mine is second to none.
I'm proud to be from a loud, competitive family of nine who has supported me this far, and I'm beyond grateful for the masterful coaching I've received. But now, I take my future into my own hands. Welcome to me.
