Addi Vanwagoner '25 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to complete 4 years of college while playing softball with a good-fit team.  I have played softball for 9 years. I have played for many different coaches and teams, which has been a great opportunity for me to get to know many different teammates and coaches.  I practice and play year round and my focus has always been to become a player that can contribute to my high school varsity team.  I am a true utility player and I have had experience playing all positions on the field except pitcher and catcher.  I would consider my main position 2nd base, but often play shortstop when needed.  Recently on my club team, coach needed someone to play 1st base and third base.  When he asked who could play these positions, I gladly said yes.  I learned how to play each position in detail and have been successful at the corners.  

I have been named captain on my High School softball team for two years in a row as a sophomore and junior.  This is a job that I take seriously and I work hard all season to build our team to be the best it can be.  My teammates follow my lead and I work hard to be a good role model and always exhibit what a responsible softball player looks like.  

Off the field I pride myself on my 4.00 GPA and I have had the opportunity to take some college level classes that my school offers. I am glad to be challenged with the higher level classes.  Math is my favorite subject because it is logical to me. I am a school leader and strive to build school spirit.  I am part of the Athlete Advisory Committee and I meet monthly with our athletic directory to improve our athletics program school wide.  

As my senior year approaches I am excited for all the new things to come and a little nervous for all the decisions I will be making.  Please reach out to me if your team could use a utility player.  I am excited to speak with you.
