For me softball is an escape. It’s an escape from the real world, from reality. Although softball is my paradise, there was a point where I thought about quitting. It was my first year of club ball and I had made it onto a team. I played the fall season with them and then one day my dad told me that I had been cut from the team because I wasn’t improving as the coaches had wanted. As a young, inexperienced player that absolutely crushed me. I thought about giving up, but after I thought about it I decided that I was going to pick myself up and show them that I could way better than them or I had ever imagined. Through this experience I learned the importance of being humble and always wanted to be the best me.
I am now on a new team and we have only played with each other for a year and a half, but we work very well as a team.I have a great attitude, outstanding work ethic, and give everything 110%. I am looking for a program where I can not only be challenged in softball, but also in academics. I want to leave a lasting footprint in your program and I believe that I will.
