2023 Triple Crown...
2023 Highlights
2023 SpotlightHi Coach, my name is Isabelle Welch and I am a 2023 5’10” RHP with a strong drop ball and changeup, also throwing a rise to change planes. I am from Puyallup, Washington and recently joined the Washington Ladyhawks 18U Gold Miller team. You can see me at Triple Crown nationals in Georgia, July 10-13th, as well as PGF (Premier) Nationals in Huntington Beach July 21-29th.
I have recently graduated from Puyallup HS, and am not committed yet as I took a break from the 2022 club year to reevaluate and redirect my academic direction, and to decide what I wanted my future to look like as a softball player.
Softball-wise, I have always played on very competitive club teams and loved the process of improving myself, however, the truth is, the fun of the game really disappeared for a while for me personally – I am more than willing to talk about that at some point.
Anyways, from all of this, I truly believe I am better for it now. Over the last 6 months, in coming back to the game which I grew to miss very much, I have had a positive, passionate and organic approach that I feel has made me way stronger as an athlete mentally.
As for academics, I have a 3.4 GPA (non-weighted) and I am very passionate about business and know my career path which will be commercial real estate. When I took a break from softball, I discovered another passion outside softball and business, which was being a leader and servant in the business community. I was a DECA state officer, school officer, and our school café manager.
All in all, taking time off was a rocky journey, but I truly believe it made me a more well-rounded person and player. Although I love business and being a servant leader, I have found my way back to the game, knowing that I have so much more to offer this wonderful sport. I truly am committed and would be grateful for a chance to pitch at the collegiate level.
