Samantha Swartz '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Sam and I have wanted to play softball in college since I was a little girl. I am looking to play at a college where I can become a better player, and prepare for my future career in the medical field. I aspire to be a physican's assistant specializing in pediatrics, and I plan to major in biology or chemistry. 

Currently, I play on Impact Fastpitch, an A level travel club team that plays all over the Midwest, which I have been playing on for the past 3 years. I have developed close friendships with my coaches and teamates, and have been described as coachable by many coaches and parents. I only miss practice if absolutely necessary, and I am never afraid to put in extra hours or one on one practices to improve my skills. I come from a small town with not a lot of opportunity to be seen, so I drive one and a half hours each way for practice up to four times a week. 

I would say I could be described as coachable, hardworking, and motivated. Softball has been my passion for over 10 years of my life, and it is my dream to play in college. In school my class rank is 4 of 170, I maintain a cumilitive weighted GPA of 4.109, and I take numerous AP, honors , advanced, and dual credit classes to help prepare me for my college career. 

To expand my knowledge of my furture career field, I am currently working as a pharmaceutical assistant in my home town learning medications, doing deliveries, filling prescriptions, and working the window giving out prescriptions.
