Mikaela Janes '15 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Mikaela Janes and I am a 2015 graduate at Germantown High School. I currently play Third Base and Outfield for the Wisconsin Bandits. My goal is to go into the medical field and play softball at the highest level possible.
I am a very hard-working individual. Not a day goes by that I am not working on making myself a better athlete, student, or person. I train with private coaches and on my own or with my sisters daily along with team practices and tournaments. My strengths include my work ethic and being coachable. On the field, I handle pressure well and have speed down the line.
I am academically driven, taking on a rigorous schedule filled with honors, advanced, and 5 AP courses while maintaining a 3.5 unweighted GPA. I am a member of National Honors Society and Spanish National Honors Society. Along with academics and athletics, I take on many leadership roles in school clubs including being director for the Peers 4 Peers' programs Anti-Bullying campaign video and Committee Chair Coordinator for Student Council's Executive Board. Also, I am involved with a volunteering program at my school called Key Club and volunteer at my church.
I have two little sisters who also play softball. Grace is an incoming freshman and is a corner infielder and outfielder for the 14U Wisconsin Lighteneing. Rachael is 11 years old standing 5'6 and plays first base and catcher for the 12U Wisconsin Lightening. I am so proud of them both. I love working and practicing with them. Needless to say, we are a softball family, but we wouldn't have it any other way.
