Jordyn Carlson '26 Recruiting Profile

As I look ahead to the next chapter of my education, I am searching for a college that not only challenges me academically, but also supports my dedication to softball at a competitive level. I am driven to succeed in the classroom and on the field. I believe that the right college experience will help me grow in both areas. My goal is to join a college community that values excellence, offers strong academic programs, and fosters a team environment where I can develop as a student athlete.

I give my all in everything I do. I make sure to prioritize things, create a schedule, and follow through. I leave nothing behind, where I think to myself " I could have done better". Whether it is studying for school, homework, or in my practices or games I put in all my effort to achieve the goals / outcome I would like to see. If I were to fall short I use that as a learning experience for the next time so that I may become better as a person and player / teammate.

I have been playing softball since the age of 5 playing with my older sister pitching and hitting in the yard with her, and watching my dad coach. At 8 I started in a league pitching and playing different positions on the field. I loved pitching and started getting lessons and attending camps. Many people look at me and see my size. They underestimate me, my heart, and dedication. Between my family and coaches, their time and dedication has helped mold me into a slapper / bunter / hitter that I am today.
