Avery Gray '24 Recruiting Profile

I would like to attend a college that will allow me to play softball while I work on my degree.  I am a good student and academics are my priority.  I have been playing competitive softball since I was 8 years old. In 2021 I was our states Max preps POY and this past season earned Gatorade Player of the Year for my state. I am a RHP and 3B but also play 1B. I am a very strong stick as well.  My parents, coaches and I work hard to ensure that I am an all around player and not just a pitcher although I do feel most at home on the mound!  I am a calm and focused pitcher.  My mental game is very strong for my age.  I have good speed but what I think I am best at is hitting my spots and my movement and changeup.  I love playing the game of softball and have learned so much from the game.  I have also enjoyed making many memories with my teammates including winning 5 state championships!  I enjoy these moments with my teammates so much!  I am a good teammate and know that the best teams are not always the most talented but instead the ones with the most grit, determination and have eachothers back.
