Kiley Walker '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Kiley Walker and I am in the class 2022. Academically my goal is to attain a degree and certification in Occupational Therapy.  Athletically I want to continue on to the next level in the sport of softball.  My mom played both volleyball and basketball in college and my father has been a football and track coach at the high school level for over 20 years.  For as long as I can remember my parents' expectation of myself and brother in athletics has always been to work hard, be coachable and be a great teammate no matter what sport we are in at the time.  

These expectations carry over into the classroom as well.  I currently have a 4.0 GPA. I am a member of our Health Academy and the National Honor society.  When I graduate from Rock Springs High School I will have college credits from taking dual credit classes with Western Wyoming Community College that are offered through our school.

I am a multi sport athlete participating and lettering in Swim, Indoor Track and Softball.  This year as a junior I had the honor of being voted as a team captain for our swim team.   I have played softball from the age of 4 and travel ball starting at 9.  Living in Wyoming it can be a challenge to attend tournaments but our coaches have taken us to play in Utah, Colorado and Idaho.  I have been able to see the type of competition that can come at the next level and it excites me.  I realize that I may not be a division one athlete but I just want a chance to play at the next level.  My main position so far has been catcher and  when I am not catching I am used as a utility player.
