Mattie Adams '22 Recruiting Profile

I have played basketball since 8 years of age. I plan for the  passion of this sport to help provide me with an education. The thought that this could be my final year of sports saddens me. I would love to continue to play for at least two more years, possibly four. I've always worked hard during the off season and have improved tremendously over the years. I will not be outplayed! Hustle is my greatest attribute to the game. I love to score, but defense wins games. If there is a loose ball on the court, I am doing whatever it takes to get it in my possession. I've always played with that determination and grit. I've been told that I am "fun to watch". I'm nothing but coachable and a true team player. My goal is to win, but if we don't...my parents have always taught met to look at what I can do to do better for my team the next time.  I strive to do my best whether it's on or off the court. I work hard in the classroom, maintaining a 3.9 GPA with honor classes. I hold down a part time job and assist my parents with my 3 younger siblings. I also run track, which helps keep me in shape. I have always been a part of a winning program and hope that I can bring that success to the next level.
