It would be a great achievement for me to earn a college scholarship to play the game I have loved ever since I played on my first basketball team at age 5. I learned about commitment and sacrifice at an early age through a very good club soccer program in Arizona. In addition to intense and highly structured trainings, I was fortunate to have been enrolled in speed and agility training with personal coaches ever since I was very young. This disciplined approach to training resulted in helping build my confidence and developing a healthy fearlessness about competition. I have learned so much about my teammates, myself and what it takes to win, I believe I can do whatever I set out to do in life, regardless of the obstacles or challenges.
For now, I know I am interested in careers that involve helping people and some type of management in the construction industry...I can really see myself having my own company, building log cabins and possibly being a firefighter and/or paramedic.
Why would you consider me to fill one of your roster spots? Because you can count on my athleticism, tenacity, commitment, competitiveness and high character to represent your school well and help my team win. I am fun to watch because I always play hard at both ends of the court and I never give up. I will be a Junior this season coming up...this leaves me more time to develop into a better player and a better person before it is time for me to go off to college.
I appreciate what is on the line for you as a coach (developing a successful program) and I am excited to be considered as one of the players who can make a significant difference to that end.
Many thanks for considering me.
