Presley Kell '23 Recruiting Profile

Aloha, 

I have aspirations of playing college basketball and helping my team excel. I am a good candidate for any team because I have a good attitude, work ethic and I'm willing to learn. Where I grew up in Hawaii, I did not have access to club basketball, traveling teams or girls basketball until high school.  Fortunately, the boy's little league let girls join so I was able to play 5 sort seasons with them. In my freshman year I earned the starting center position on JV and was named the most inspirational player by my coaches. In my sophomore year, I earned the starting center position on varsity but we did not get to play a season because of COVID. My parents recognized that Hawaii might not have a season again in 2021/22 and they took drastic action. This past summer we moved from Hawaii to Colorado, and I am going to attend a new school. What makes me different from other recruits is my lack of experience. Despite playing less than most of the recurites you will see, my athltetic talent, size and aggressiveness, has allowed me to compete with and dominate girls who have played year round for years. This also indicates that I have a lot of growth and potential that I have not tapped into, simply because I haven't had enough game time to develop it. I have every confidence that If you give me a chance I will grow to be one of the best players you have ever coached.
