Emma Bargas '19 Recruiting Profile

I was eight when I picked up my first basketball and nine when I started going to basketball camps offered at my school. I have been playing basketball for eight years and my dad has taught and played with me each year. It wasn't until recently that I have finally been able to beat him in a one on one match.

I am quite shy, but I am able to come out of my shell in basketball and become the leader my team needs me to be. I have overcome challenges that have been thrown at me and I succeed at whatever I do. I push myself time and time again and my hard work pays off in both sports and school. I am one that believes that defense wins games and offense sells tickets. I am very coachable and I have a high basketball IQ. I love this sport and I have proved that I can play the game well and be a team leader. 

As for my schooling, I maintain good grades and have an average GPA of 3.6. I have tested out of high school English and am currently taking college English and Psychology. My schoolwork is very important to me and I strive to complete my work to the best of my abilities. 

I am open to many options for my future in basketball and I hope to one day play in college, after all, it has been my dream since I started playing.
