Sophia Baal '25 Recruiting Profile

I am truly dedicated to playing basketball, and I have played since I was ten years old. I have always had a great desire to play basketball competitively at the collegiate level. Playing basketball for a college team would be an exciting challenge that would have a positive impact on my life and my future goals.

I have great court vision, which further enhances my passing as well as my defense abilities. I am also a strong shooter, and I am powerful in the post. I am an exceptional team player, and I encourage teammates to continuously improve their skills. 

Basketball is my passion, and I constantly work on improving my basketball skills and helping others improve theirs. I play varsity at Cherry Creek High School, and I play for the Hardwood Elite 3SSB Club Team in the summer. I have also coached youth basketball camps, which allows me to help young players improve their skills.

Academically I am highly focused. I am a high achiever, and I work just as hard at academics as I do basketball. I enjoy school and maintain a very high GPA. I have been on the honor roll since my freshman year. I also regularly participate in the Fellow Christian Athletes Club.

My dream is to go to a college with a great basketball program as well as a strong academic program. I ultimately want to play with a highly competitive basketball team. I not only want to be a great team player, I also want to excel academically.
