Athletics have shaped who I am as a person today. As a two sport athlete, I've learned commitment, to persevere through problems, lead my team, and improve from setbacks or losses. Basketball has taught me I can be both physically and mentally tough. The sport has been important to me since I was in 5th grade. I've always had the dream of playing in high school and college because of the competitive nature of girls that age and how they take the game seriously at those levels.
Outside of athletics, I'm a hard working student. I have high expectations for myself with anything I'm involved with, so academics are something that I try my hardest with. I currently hold a high GPA and have been on the honor roll for the past 3 years. Academics and athletics are pretty similar when it comes to priority within my life. I like to achieve my expectations and others as well. My goal for high school is to maintain or improve my GPA before I graduate. I believe that I'm ready to play at the college level while making an impact within the program because I can lead a team, I'm coachable, and I have a high work-ethic.
