Aadia Contractor '16 Recruiting Profile

My long term aspiration is to either go pro in the WNBA or become a homicide investigator. Ball is life; usually most say, however I would love to be put in a position to help others. I have a desire to experience what is like to be in the actual field. I hope to be able to give back to my community after basketball as well. 
I am interested in attending a school with a competitive athletic program. I have a passion for always winning. I am currently competing at competitive  school and performing exceptionally. Basketball has always been a sport that I love and hope to one day compete in a professional level.

What makes you a good candidate for their team?

I am a leader amongst my peers; I am self-motivated and adaptable. Being a quick learner, I bring a lot to the team and expect to learn from my fellow teammates and my coach.  I consider myself to be a motivator to my teammates and that no matter what we always have each others backs.

What makes you different from other recruits in character, athletics and academics?

I am a team player; I do my best to always put my teammates first.  I am a selfless player. I know that when one teammate messes up there is no need to bring that player down. That player knows what they did wrong and as a team we should just move on from it. Nobody is perfect, everybody makes mistakes. We are family; a whole. We are stronger together, when one falls, we help to get them back up. We are stronger together and together we will stand.
In academics, I push myself to be better. I know that I have some weaknesses and strive to make myself stronger academically. Everyday there is always something new that I am learning and I hope one day I can sum everything that I have learned up and put it into good use.
