Personal Statement
Coachable and teachable is what I am, and that is what's keeping me on a positive, progressive path academically and athletically. I am from Belle Glade, Florida where I was taught innately to work harder and better than anyone else and eventually it would pay off. This year 2019, I'm currently ending my sophomore year and would be going into my junior year at Oxbridge Academy, a co-ed private school in West Palm Beach Florida. Since primary school, I've been enrolled in gifted and advanced classes which are now known as honors and AP classes in high school. I have all honor classes, and I maintain a 3.6 GPA, and I still work hard to improve my game on the court. To go to a Division I college is my desire I wish to achieve soon. I use to be a follower but only to people who had good deeds. Now I'm focusing on becoming a leader and one of the best leaders toward my peers.
I ran track freshman year and played basketball for the varsity girls team for freshman and sophomore year. For the varsity girls basketball team, we won States 2x in a row. We made a big statement with that accomplishment to not only the school but to ourselves also. We faced many obstacles and me especially as one of the underclassmen. I had to work twice as harder to prove to coach and my parents that I can handle the pressure and I can contribute to these victories. Now for the next two years of my high school career, I plan to show everyone what I am capable of and I plan not to hold back.
