My name is LaTyah Barber a 5’5 Senior point guard at Lafayette High School. We are a small county in NW Georgia and our basketball season last year was very successful. We went 15 and 12 for the season and made it to the GHSA state tournament for the first time in the girls basketball program history. This season I averaged 17 points, 7.6 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 4.5 steals per game. This season I scored my 1,000 career point and can’t wait to see where next season will take me. I have a deep passion for the sport of basketball and wish to play at the next level for a Division 1 school. I was selected as All-Region first team and Walker County Girls Basketball Player of the Year for a second straight season. I also play varsity tennis. I always work hard in the classroom as well with a GPA of 3.5. I want to pursue sports Medicine and one day become an athletic trainer for a professional sports team.
