Isabella Arrisgado '24 Recruiting Profile

Aloha, my name is Isabella Arrisgado, and presently I am entering my senior year at Maryknoll Highschool located in Honolulu, Hawaii.  I believe the league that I play in is the most intense and athletic division in Hawaii.  Every game has playoff implications, therefore every game is a battle.  I play the position of point/shooting guard on offense.  I enjoy shooting the three pointer but also love driving into the paint and at the last second (once the defense has collapsed) I kick the ball out to an open teammate.  My strongest asset is my defense.  I am always placed on the other teams number one ball handler and wouldn't want it any other way.  Last year I was named to the Top 10 Defensive Player Team in the State of Hawaii for Girls Varsity Basketball.  I enjoy basketball very much and believe my confidence comes from preparation.  Like anything, whether it's academics, sports or relationships, there are no short cuts.   I believe at the next level everyone is talented but not everyone has the heart or determination to put in that extra time to grind and prepare.  I train hard not only because it's necessary to compete but because I love it.  And when you love what you are doing, everything seems to come so much easier.  My second best characteristic is my ability to be a "Full Team Player" meaning I am there for my teammates through all the ups and downs that come with basketball and I'm always there to put a smile on my teammates faces.  My senior season just finished.  I received 1) 2024 Top 10 Defensive Player Team, 2).  All State Div II 1st Team, 2024 ILH Champions, 3).  2024 Div II State Champions, 4) 2024 State Championship All Tournament Team, 5) 2024 Div II State Championship Impact Player of the Game, 6) and Team Captain
