Remedy Gonzalez '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Remedy Gonzalez, and I am a proud player for Pahoa High and Intermediate School. My journey with basketball began long before I ever played a competitive game. As a kid, I would go to the park with my grandpa and I would shoot around with him. These moments were simple, showing my love for basketball. However it wasn't until I started playing for my high school team that I discovered the depth of my passion for the sport. 

Being on the court has taught me invaluable lessons about leadership and resilience. As a team leader, I strive to be a role model for my teammates and especially my younger sister. I believe in leading by example, showing them that hard work and determination, anything is possible. Whether it is encouraging my teammate after a missed shot or pushing through a hard practice, I am to insure those around me to give their best. 

I pride myself on being a coachable player. I listen intently to feedback and apply it, always seeking to improve my game. My dedication to basketball is matched only by my commitment to my academics. Balancing my schoolwork and sports is not easy, but I am determined to excel in both. I maintain a high GPA and ensure I get A's in all my classes, no matter how challenging they may be. 

My drive to succeed extends beyond the basketball court and the classroom. I am preparing for my future, aiming to attend a college where I can continue to push myself athletically and academically. I seek an environment that with challenging me, helping me grow as both an athlete and a student. 

Basketball has become more than just a sport for me, it is a way of life that has shaped my character. It has taught me the importance of teamwork, and continuous self-improvement. Each day, I strive to be one of the hardest-working players on the team, knowing that my efforts will pay off on both on and off the court. 

My journey is about more than just basketball. It is about striving for excellence in everything I do and inspiring those around me to do the same. As I look towards the future, I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead, confidant in my ability to overcome any challenges and achieve my goals.
