Katherine Skinner '26 Recruiting Profile

Total team player that wants to make myself better and those around me better.  I have a strong work ethic which I apply to my academics, athletics and other extracurricular activities.  Basketball is my passion.  I was honored to be named Top 3 Finalist for Defense Prospect in the state of Illinois for the '23-'24 season by Prep Hoops Girls Illinois.  I am a student of the game of basketball and devour new philosophies and constantly trying to improve my game.  

I have started both varsity basketball and soccer since my freshman year.  I made the decision to pursue a second sport (soccer) in high school rather than pursue AAU with basketball.  To improve my basketball skills I train for basketball year round (especially in the off season) with Coach Christopher Spartz.  I have trained with him since 5th grade and continually challenges me and also includes me in open runs with D1, D2 and D3 girls during the summers.

I am a leader among my peers and sought out by my coaches for feedback and thoughts on how I can improve and our team can improve.  Basketball is a passion of mine and I know I will be an asset in every way to any college program.  I look forward to hearing from you and talking more about basketball.  Thank you for your time in reading my profile.
