Morgan Shuey '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Morgan Shuey.  I attend Southwest Valley High School in Corning, Iowa.  I am very lucky that I enjoy both school and athletics.  My long term goals are to become a physician.  Mt father and brother are both Veterinarians, but I prefer to work on humans.  

I am very fortunate to have been given a lot of ability in sports as well as in the classroom.  My brother played tennis in college.  I also had an aunt who played volleyball at the University of Nebraska along with several other relatives who played college sports.  My favorite sport is basketball.  I also play volleyball and run track.  Unfortunately, I had to give up softball to play club basketball in the summers.  I did this because i did not think it would be fair to the coaches and players of either sport to not fully commit my time to them.  

I feel one of my strongest aspects is my work ethic and desire.  You can ask all my High School coaches and they will say the same thing.  This also includes my High School Superintendant who works with me on my weight training progrm.

I hope to trade my love for basketball for a good education.  Having a great life mentor as a coach and a close relationship with my team mates are extremely important.  I really enjoying being part of a team.
