Amanda Hughes '14 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to play basketball in college and has been ever since I was about six years old.  I have put hours and hours in the gym, improving my game and pushing myself.  I am a hard worker and a dedicated player.  I love how basketball is a team sport and I get to work with other people and form a bond.  I appreciate learning from different coaches on how to improve my game. I enjoy competing and seeing my teammates succeed.  I like the contact when I'm going hard and I feel like no one can stop me.  Basketball has always been fun for me but I take it very seriously and always try my hardest. The college that will be the best fit for me is one that encourages its athletes to strive for excellence on and off the court.
