I began playing aau basketball in second grade, in 5th grade I decided to take a break from aau and I regretted every second of it. That’s where i discovered my true passion for the game.
After deciding I wanted to go back and play. I went the whole 5th grade season practicing with a team earning my spot, this situation showed me that things aren’t just given to you, you have to earn them. The whole 6th grade season I put in work in team practices and out side of team practices.
I now play for an aau team that is an hour and forty five minutes away from where I live, and while going to those practices, and putting in work ourtside of practice, I still managed to average a 3.9 gpa in school. I take my academic work very serious and I make sure to manage it with basketball.
On the court I am a very unselfish player, always making the right plays, finding my open teamates, setting up plays, and looking for my shot. I have a very high IQ on the court. I prefer to play the 2 or 3 guard, but if I need to step up and play the point guard to help handle the ball through pressure, I would be able to take the position.
