Personal Statement
I was 7 years old when I started playing basketball and I fell in love with the game. I played AAU basketball since 6th grade and played varsity basketball as a freshman. The highlight of that season was winning the Maryland State Championship. I had a double double, 10 points and 10 rebounds. My sophomore year I served as team captain and was the leading scorer.
An aspiration of mine from an early age has been to play basketball at the collegiate level.
I possess a high basketball IQ , attacking skills, hustle, and ball handling skills. I am an energy giver and always open to feedback in helping me become the best teammate and individual player possible.
I stay determined in the classroom. I possess a 3.8 GPA and serve as a class officer. I also run cross country during the fall with my best finish being 8th place at the Maryland State Championship.
An ideal college for me would be where I can become the best version of me both on and off the court, while encouraging others to do the same. I am excited for the next chapter in my life and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to play for a great program. I aspire to make a positive impact on those around me while making my family and friends proud.
