Sophia White '28 Recruiting Profile

Hi, My name is Sophia and I'm on the Junior Varsity basketball team at NORTHEAST High School. I play as a power forward or a center on the court and I am a consistent starter. My goal is to not only to build up my skills but to also build my teammates up. Currently, my team is very new and has trouble understanding rules, therefore I help them and build their skills by teaching them their shooting form and ball handling. Friendships are very important to me so I love to build relationships with my teammates and have fun during practice. I plan to play basketball through college and see where it gets me afterwards; either I tryout for the WNBA or I continue my path in the medical field as a pediatric nurse practitioner. I also would like to attend college near my home (Maryland) because I don't want to be too far away from my loved ones. As long as I get to play ball, I don't mind what college I go to. I just want to play and get better!
