As a student athlete at Catoctin High School, I work to not only be a leader on the court, but off the court and in the classroom as well. Being a two-sport varsity athlete has taught me a solid work ethic and how to be coachable. My main strengths on the court are leadership, IQ, competitiveness, hustle, and will to win.
As the only freshman on our Varsity team my first year of high school basketball, I faced many new challenges. I had to prove myself in practice, games, and off the court to earn the playing time I wanted. This experience taught me how to not only overcome challenges that were expected, but, even more importantly, I learned how to handle unexpected obstacles and stay focused on my goals, mindset, and team. All of this has helped to shape me into the leader I am today. Not only do I lead vocally, but I do my best to set an inspirational example for my teammates whether in practices, games, individual workouts or off the court. I believe these skills will allow me to have an immediate positive impact on my new college basketball team.
