Shannon Brady '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Shannon Brady, I play Center at the High School Varsity and AAU Club Team Level. Currently I weigh 150 lbs., I'm 6 ft. tall, and I have guard like speed. I Played basketball in Travel league for four years before continuing on to High school. Thus far in my High school career I have played on varsity for three years. My freshman year i was brought up from JV and was starting on Varsity by the end of my Freshman year. By sophomore year I received the All Tournament Team Player award at tournaments in both Scituate and Martha's Vineyard. I was also a Patriotic League All star my sophomore year. I now start my junior year and I am the third highest scorer on my team, first in rebounding and blocks. As a team mate i am always supportive and enthusiastic, I truly love the sport. I work my absolute hardest from start to finish every game and practice. I compete even when I'm tired, and never give up a fight. I would love to go to school in New England, but I'm keeping my options open. I know they're a lot of colleges I don't know about yet, so i look forward to exploring my options. As far as academics go I currently hold a 3.83 gpa so I'm looking for a school that will continue to challenge me academically and match up with my interests. I love English, history, and the fine arts. My current focus as of now is either a division II or III school, but once again I'm open to anything. Currently, my major is undecided, however with a strong interest in graphic design, art, and history I would consider pursuing something in that area. My athletic goal is to ultimately leave High school Basketball as the State Champions, and move onto College Basketball. So far in terms of what division I play, It means very little, as long as I'm playing. Basketball is my passion, not only do i love being part of a team, but i can constantly challenge myself on the court. Improvement is crucial, I know that i can always be better with hard work. I sincerely hope to continue playing basketball through college, I know it will be an experience I will never forget.
