Personal Statement

I am a 5"6 point guard from Weymouth, Massachusetts. I am a junior and have started on Weymouth High School's Varsity basketball team since I was a freshman. I have a GPA of 3.2 and have taken all honors classes. I have played AAU basketball since I was in the 6th grade. I have played on a few AAU teams including the Bay State Jaguars and MT Elite Ducks. My AAU teams have won the Zero Gravity State and National Finals as well as made it to the finals of the Zero Gravity tournament several times. I have been named to the Zero Gravity All Tournament team. Most recently, I was an honorable mention for the Northeast Elite College Showcase.

My last year stats in my sophomore season were 10.6 ppg, 5.1 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 2.2 steals. I have just recently been made a captain on my high school team. My GPA is currently at 3.28 with a weighted GPA of 3.64.

I have earned my community service hours helping out Weymouth Girls Basketball, a non-profit recreational league for girls in 2nd -10th grade.

I want to continue playing basketball in college. I am looking for a school where I can do this and one where I can thrive academically.
